Chapter 25 - 27 Summary
Pierre Cloucharde is murdered. The figure hovering over him injects 30 cc of cleaning fluid into his IV tube. He is unable to scream for help, because his mouth is covered. The man in wire-rim glasses slips out of the clinic. He presses a switch on the credit card sized pack attached to his belt. He is using a prototype of the new Monocle computer, which has been developed by the U.S. Navy. The man's glasses are actually the computer monitor. The transparent display allows the user see through the data that appears on the lenses.
Information is entered into the computer by touching contacts that are affixed to the user's fingertips.
