Summary
“Water, All Its Weight” is a short story about a girl named Bianca who was cursed to have water follow her wherever she goes. The story begins with vivid imagery of the unbearable water stains causing rot and mold in Bianca’s office. Even at the gym, droplets of water stain her clothes and treadmills. The ceiling panels where she eats her lunch at work has rotted completely away, a dank smell surrounding every area that Bianca encounters. Despite Bianca’s curse, she is efficient and hard-working, excelling at her job. She is beautiful and pulls off her “wet look”. On her desk lies an old picture of her ex-husband, Dean.
