Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, Part 2 Summary

Andy Dufresne also takes over the prison library from Brooks Hatlen. Andy works hard to improve the library and repeatedly requests funding from the state until he starts getting money from them. When Greg Stammas takes over as warden, Andy goes to work laundering money from illicit income, such as the sale of pills and a discount auto repair service. He and Red become closer friends over time, and Andy tells Red Andy knows the work he is doing is bad, but he's just trying to get by as best he can, since the library is helping other prisoners get their high school diplomas. Andy changes the poster in his cell through the years, but it is always of a beautiful woman.
