Chapters 44-46 Summary

Borken drags Holly out of the courthouse into the open where Webster and Johnson can watch from the video feed coming from the spy plane. At the same time, Reacher tells Mac about the panel truck he and Holly were driven in from Chicago. Reacher remembers it sagging on its springs when he saw it the night before in the motor pool. Reacher thinks Borken plans to use it as a car bomb. A moment later, Holly attempts to escape by attacking her guards with broken tiles from the bathroom, but is unsuccessful. Borken ties Holly to a tree and begins firing at her, promising to hit her if Webster does not get CNN on the line with Borken immediately.
