Summary
The next day, a Sunday, there is still a lot of snow on the ground. Also, Surrey Street has not been plowed, after other kids in the neighborhood ambushed the plow driver with snowballs in the morning. After reading up on military strategy overnight, Greg and Rowley go to visit Mitchell Pickett, a student who has opened a pre-made snowball business. Greg and Rowley see that Upper Surrey Street is covered with different forts, all of which have flags. As the different forts begin to fight with one another, Greg and Rowley go to an apparently unoccupied fort. They see that an infant neighbor named Baby Gibson is inside it.
