Summary
October
Greg talks about a boy named Chirag Gupta who is in his class at school. Greg likes Chirag but thinks he will have some fun with him. He and the rest of the class pretended that Chirag was still gone, despite Chirag’s attempts to make them stop. Finally, Chirag realizes that Rowley doesn’t understand practical jokes and begins working on him, getting him to acknowledge him.
The Principal is brought into the problem and Greg is called to his office. Unfortunately, Principal Roy got the name of the victim wrong, and Greg apologizes for picking on someone who didn’t even really exist. Greg finds it completely hilarious and doesn’t stop the gag when he returns to class.
Rowley’s birthday party is coming up and Greg is interested in going. He has his mother take him to the mall...
