Summary

In his first May entry Greg writes that he’d learned he would have a substitute teacher in one of his classes the following day. He believed the substitute would be the best option for him to use to earn his class clown status. In his Friday entry Greg writes that he was disappointed to learn that the substitute was his mother. To make matters worse, on Wednesday, Greg learned that his cartoon had been replaced with one that Rowley wrote using Greg’s “Zoo-Wee Mama!” idea. The students and even the teachers were giving Rowley the attention Greg believed should have been his.
