Summary

In Greg’s first entry of October, he writes about his father’s Halloween tradition of hiding in the bushes outside their house to soak any teenagers that walk by with a trash can full of water. He also writes about his mother taking him and Rowley to the Crossland High School haunted house that day. Greg was frustrated because Rowley wore his Halloween costume from the previous year even though Greg had told him to wear regular clothes. Greg had been looking forward to being allowed to go to the haunted house for about three years. Once he was there, he almost didn’t go in because he was scared.
