Oh, the life of being a ninja… I’m not gonna lie to you – it’s an absolutely fantastic life. But it wasn’t always that way. This might surprise you, but ninjas are often seen as the bad guys. I know, right? I had no idea either until I became one.

Importance: When the novel begins, Chase reveals some very important things in the first few lines. First, he is a ninja. Second, his life as a ninja is fantastic.
