Summary
Chapter Six is subtitled “Junior Year, Six Years Ago.” Meddelin goes to dim sum with her Ma and aunts intending to tell them about Nathan. Instead, they ambush her with their idea of starting a wedding business and making her their photographer since she is studying photography in school. At first, Meddelin is upset that they have decided this without her. Then, she thinks about how great this could be for her family, and wonders if it could be the big break that would get them out of the tiny house they all share together. She agrees to do it and decides she will tell them about Nathan another day.
Chapter Seven is subtitled “Present Day.” Meddelin sits in the garage of her home and thinks about what to do. Ma comes out and asks how the date was and Meddelin tells her...
