Chapter VI, pgs. 594-651 Summary
On the way to the party, Kidd and the scorpions stop to pick up Lanya and Madame Brown. They talk as they walk to the Calkins house. The house is bright with lights and Kidd wonders where they get the electricity from. Inside they are introduced to Ernestine Throckmorton and others. Kidd wised that Tak was at the party. Kamp tells them about some experiments he was involved in on sensory deprivation. It was part of the space program.
They walk around the gardens and talk with different people. A man named Frank had lost a spiral notebook and somebody showed him Kidd's notebook with all of the poems in it. He keeps bringing up the fact. Kidd begins to wonder if he wrote or rewrote the poems when they hear a scream in the garden. A...
