Chapter III, pgs. 109-170 Summary
The next morning, the red headed woman, Madame Brown, from the bar offers Kidd a job helping the Richards family at the Labry Apartments. Kidd washes up at the fountain then looks at the paper with its story of strange lights and the skies of Bellona along with sightings of both a full moon and a crescent moon. He tells Lanya about the job.
Kidd goes to the Labry Apartments. The Richards want an apartment on the nineteenth floor cleared. They want to move into the apartment and there is no efficient management. Mrs. Richards introduces Kidd to her family. Mr. Richards works for a systems engineering company.
