Summary

In Chapter 3 of The Wench, Dessa has a dream about her former plantation. She and her family and former friends are choosing who they would be with if they got their pick. Dessa envies Zenobia's full figure. She thinks about her brother Jeeter who she has not seen since he was sold. The events of the dream become confused with her own sense of reality.
