Part III, Chapter 4-5 Summary

Johnny and Steve return to the main part of the theater, and notice that Audrey and David are no longer in the room. Johnny tells them what Tom has said, and Mary goes to care for Tom in the men's room. Steve, Cynthia, Ralph and Johnny begin searching for David, knowing that he is in danger. Audrey finds David and tries to strangle him, but Steve reaches her in time, throwing her off David. Ralph rushes to the side of his son, who is now in a trance like state and barely breathing. Cynthia checks on David, saying she has some experience in first aid from when she worked at a women's shelter.

Mary goes to care for Tom, but he is dead. She hears Ellen outside and begins to let her in. It is dark outside...
