Chapters 20 and 21 Summary
In Chapter 20, George feels shame because he did not treat the rescue of the teens as a military operation. When the men come to question him, their interview techniques are so much like something in a movie that he laughs. A slap across the mouth sobers him. George continues to ignore the men talking, knowing that ignoring them is more frustrating to them than responding to them would be. Meanwhile, Change finds the list of AWOL GC employees and deletes his sister's name. He wonders how many people knew she was his sister and how long can he keep his family out if he was investigated. He believes that were his father to learn he was subversive, he would turn against him quickly. In Chicago, Rayford calls a meeting. Tsion is troubled because their group's safety is coming apart so quickly...
