Summary
Chapter 41
Her husband seems to be taking well to the country life, and even thanks his wife for moving them out there. She, on the other hand, is still resentful towards her husband. She spends one of the nights sleeping in their daughter’s room because she doesn’t want to be around him.
Chapter 42
The parents continue to worry about their daughter because she seems to be struggling with the move as well. They get her a puppy against the wishes of their therapist. As they point out, this seems to be the only thing that makes their daughter happy. The protagonist is still miserable. She’s taking medication to keep her hands from shaking, and to stop the dark thoughts that she’s having. There are still moments where she finds herself breaking down in tears though.
