Chapters 7-12 Summary

Chapter 7. Caryn watches from the library as Alex and Jessica talk. Alex gets into Caryn's mind and answers her thoughts, making Caryn push him out.

Chapter 8. After school, Jessica goes to the local bookstore to see her books on the shelf. Jessica is surprised to find Caryn there. Caryn tries to ask Jessica how she would feel if she learned the things in Tiger, Tiger are real, but Jessica brushes her off. Then Alex arrives. Alex offers Jessica another vampire book, Renegade, that is written by a woman who claims to be a vampire. They joke about the idea before Alex gets into words with Caryn's mother, Hasana, who is the manager of the bookstore. Then Alex sees the book Jessica has "Tiger, Tiger" and he leaves the store in a rush. Hasana then tells Jessica she can keep the copy...
