Summary
Magna wondered if she had injured a person. She even could have killed someone. Terrified of what she might have done, she continued driving further and further "away from the accident" (196). Her heart pounded. She was driving through towns that seemed even worse than the one she had come from. She tried to decide what to do. She could flee the town and state. She could hide in New York and find a better job at NYU. She opened the window, then closed it again.
