Summary

Chapter 62

Logan and his group move on slowly to accommodate Logan’s broken rib. They stay in a cabin that night. As Logan sleeps, Rachel attends to some of his wounds, including re-bandaging the burn on his neck.

Chapter 63

As they walk, Rachel makes Logan take Melkin’s stick. Logan wants to know what happened to Melkin, but Rachel refuses to tell him. Eventually, however, Rachel tells him, expressing her guilt. Rachel also tells Logan about her father’s death. Logan then takes Rachel into the lake they have come to and washes blood from her hands. Logan then tries to talk to Rachel about his feelings for her, but she is still struggling emotionally and has trouble returning his sentiments. Eventually, she is able to open up and allow hope into her heart by expressing her love to him.
