Chapter 2: Wizard's Song Summary

Nita waits for sounds of silence from upstairs, her Wizard's manual on her lap. She pages through to the regional directory where she notes that her friends Tom Swale and Carl Romeo were now shown as 'on sabbatical' following their recent promotion to Senior Wizards, and her own name, which earlier had shown her as 'vacationing/emergencies only' now showed her as on assignment - location 38 Tiana Beach. The book updated itself regularly, and on all pages to reflect any recent developments. She hears Kit calling her, and they race across the dune to find the dolphin and see what is going on. Kit says something in Wizard speech as they approach the breakers, and ran onto the water without sinking. Several paces later, he slips and falls over, amusing Nita no end. It takes Nita a bit to...
