Summary
In Chapter 21, Vic drove Brian to the train. Before boarding, Brian showed Vic a poem he had written, insisting he show it to Melinda. Then he gave Vic a pair of his late father’s cufflinks as a thank you for supporting his art.
Vic knew Melinda would not take Tony into the lawyer’s office (217). As soon as she settled the matter, everyone in town would know Vic was “Little Wesley’s number one cuckold” (218).
In town, Vic saw Tony and offered him a ride. Though Tony did not need a ride, Vic insisted he get in the car so they could talk.
