Part Two, The Eagle, Chapters 37-44 Summary
Pitt's friend calls him and tells him that he has found a witness who saw the San Marino transformed into the Belle Chasse. The friend has also found records showing that the Pilottown was bought legitimately, but was sighted for many customs violations. This friend suspects that the Belle Chasse was turned into the Pilottown because the Pilottown was once a legitimate ship, which gave the Belle Chasse solid documentation. All of this leads Pitt to believe someone is building a fleet of ships out of stolen ships. At the same time, Suvorov is watching Lugovoy, waiting for him to make his nightly trip to the elevators.
