Part Two, The Eagle, Chapters 31-36 Summary
Pitt and Loren go out to dinner that night. Loren tells Pitt she is due to travel on a Russian cruise ship in order to evaluate their service to implement on a possible American cruise line. Loren also tells Pitt that she has heard a rumor about a CIA ship that disappeared and later showed up in Australia with a different name. After dinner, thinking about the Asians found on the Eagle, Pitt calls Sal and asks what he knows about the crew of the San Marino. Sal tells Pitt how ten crew members disappeared in San Francisco, so the San Marino replaced them with ten Asians, mostly Koreans. Pitt then calls an anthropologist and describes the Asians on the Eagle, curious if they are Japanese or Korean. The doctor tells him they...
