Part Two, The Eagle, Chapters 25-30 Summary
The FBI has discovered how the President and the occupants of the Eagle were kidnapped. After arriving at Mount Vernon the entire crew and the passengers were drugged, most likely at dinner. After everyone went to bed a thick fog drifted over the yacht. While Agent Brock was stationed on the deck of the Eagle, the FBI suspects he was replaced by one of the kidnappers and spoke to Agent Polaski to keep him distracted while the kidnappers replaced the Eagle with a sister yacht. The sound would have been masked by the conversation, the move done without the use of engines thanks to the swift current of the Potomac. In order to prove this theory, the FBI wants to find the Eagle, which they believe was most likely scuttled in the river...
