Deep Freeze (The Title)

The narrative's title, Deep Freeze, symbolizes the setting which is the winter in Minnesota. It also symbolizes the discovery of Gina's body as it was in the river in the winter. In addition, it symbolizes the people in the town. They are all frozen in time based on what they were known as in high school. Thus, David's attempt to be known as he sees himself does not work because people saw him differently in high school.
