Love Heals Even The Deepest Wounds
Jack has been on his own for years. After the Atlantis shuttle accident, and the loss of his fiance Jennifer Spangler, Jack blames himself. He closes himself off from anything that might involve his heart, letting no one in and allowing none of himself to the surface. His guilt and remorse as the single survivor of that accident is almost more than he can bear. The survivors' guilt he deals with keeps him isolated from all of the people who care about him.
