Chapter 16, Cat and Mouse Summary
It is clear the gunfire is intended only to keep them pinned down, but Jack uses the crystal to move the lid of the crypt and use it as a shield. They manage to escape through a tunnel. Mwahu guides them through a crevice that leads to a drainage channel which connects to one of the canals. A jet ski patrols close and Mwahu directs them down the waterway telling them more tunnels will take them to shore. They swim and hide, until they reach the opening to the tunnel, but Jack is forced to deal with one of the soldiers on the jet ski.
