Chapters 66-70 Summary
Rachel, Michael and Corky are wrapped in blankets and being given shots of adrenaline to invigorate their muscles. Rachel feels rough, but wants to know where she is. The Captain of the Charlotte, Harold Brown, recognizes her name and says that Rachel has written many gists for him. Rachel fears that Michael and Corky will want to talk about the meteorite, but Rachel still understands that what they know is classified information and does not want it shared with others. Rachel sees the time and realizes that it is nine minutes until the President's press conference. She demands to speak with the President immediately, telling the Captain that the President is about to make a terrible mistake. She insists that the Captain put her in touch with the President right away.
