Chapters 31-35 Summary

The Delta Force is keeping an eye on what's happening inside the habisphere through the microbot. The habisphere is dark because the technicians are testing the television lighting. Delta Two sees that something strange is happening in the extraction pit.

Meanwhile, Wailee Ming is contentedly sitting at his work station alone, away from the press area where the others are celebrating. Ming feels a large vibration beneath his feet and realizes it is a large chunk of the glacier breaking away, creating a new iceberg. Ming gets up and walks to the extraction pit, noticing how beautiful the water is in the dark. He sees that something is wrong and wonders how NASA ad the other scientists could have missed it.
