Chapters 26-30 Summary
Senator Sexton and Gabrielle are leaving the CNN debate in Sexton's limousine. Gabrielle is still unsettled, while Sexton is clearly gloating. Sexton receives a call on his personal cell phone and schedules a meeting at his apartment for later that evening. Gabrielle is surprised by this, as Sexton is usually opposed both to having any meetings during his personal time and to having meetings in his personal space. Sexton explains to her that it is someone very important that needs that extra personal touch. Gabrielle has also received a message from her informant at the White House. This is the same source that had previously given her all of the information on NASA's failures and overspending. Gabrielle has been passing that information on to Senator Sexton, but has not told him from where the information has come. The informant's message tells...
