Summary

Mr. Pennington assures them that he's been below deck in this room writing letters. When they ask how it happens his gun was used to kill Mrs. Otterbourne, Pennington says that he made it clear to the passengers that he carried a gun during a conversation that took place when they first boarded the ship.
