Summary

A steward knocks on the door to beckon Hercule Poirot to Mr. Doyle. Simon asks Hercule to bring Jackie to him. Jackie comes into the cabin and instantly starts apologizing to Simon for shooting him and denies killing Linnet. Hercule leaves and goes to Rosalie's cabin. He walks with Rosalie and tells her that he knows her mother is a drunk. Rosalie admits that she was throwing her mother's bottles overboard. Hercule asks Rosalie if she saw anyone when she was throwing the bottles overboard, but Rosalie says no.

Analysis

Hercule thinks that Rosalie is lying when she says she didn't see anyone else on deck.
