Summary
Hercule Poirot and the colonel are discussing how someone is framing Jackie for the murder when Jackie comes into the room proclaiming her innocence. Hercule Poirot reassures Jackie that they know she couldn't have done it. Jackie reminds Hercule of the conversation they had back at the hotel, where she told him how she wanted to kill Jackie, and when they thought someone was listening in the bushes. Dr. Bessner beckons Poirot and Colonel Race to talk to Simon. Simon also proclaims Jackie's innocence to the two men. When Poirot questions Simon about Linnet's possible enemies, Simon lists Windlesham and Sir George, but says they are miles away. he also mentions that a name on the passenger list upset Linnet--something to do with her father's business. Poirot says it might be Mr. Ferguson that upset Linnet. They call in the maid to question her because she...
