Summary
On a second day at the temples, Mr. Ferguson scolds Cornelia for being ordered around by Miss van Schuyler. When Cornelia returns to the ship, Miss van Schuyler tells Cornelia to find her stole, which Cornelia cannot find anywhere.
Later that night, Cornelia is doing needlework in the saloon. Linnet and Simon are playing bridge with Pennington and Colonel Race. Jackie comes in, sits next to Cornelia and orders a drink. Jackie makes comment about it being a honeymoon night and sings tunes that speak of a woman stealing another woman's man. Linnet retires to the cabin but Simon stays behind in the saloon to have a drink. This leaves Cornelia, Simon, Mr. Fanthorp and Jackie in the saloon. Jackie urges Cornelia to tell her about herself, but then addresses Simon directly by telling him to get her another drink. Jackie and Simon argue and Jackie...
