Summary
As the boat docks. Hercule and Cornelia are two of the first people off the sip to view the pyramids. Hercule learns that Cornelia Robson is Marie Van Schuyler's niece and the other woman traveling with them is Marie's nurse. He also learns that Marie is very ill. Later, back on the ship, Mr. Pennington is having Linnet signs some legal documents, which Linnet insists on reading. Mr. Ferguson, the attorney, commends Linnet for having a head for business, especially as a woman. As Hercule walks back to his cabin, Mrs. Otterbourne stumbles into him, ranting how she's going to tell everyone how her daughter neglects her. Hercule returns Mrs. Otterbourne to her cabin and fetches Rosalie.
Analysis
Because Miss Van chuyler is so ill, it foreshadows that she might die during the trip. Mr. Pennington trying to rush Linnet through signing the documents without reading...
