Summary

Simon and Linnet go out on a boat for a day excursion to throw Jackie off on their true plans to sail on the boat up the Nile. Hercule spends the day at a museum on Elephantine, where he also runs into Mrs. Allerton with a drawing pad. Hercule and Mrs. Allerton talk about the types of crimes each of the hotel guests could be involved in and Mrs. Allerton says Jackie could murder someone. After they return from the island, they all board the train to go and catch the boat. On the train, Hercule runs into the Americans Mrs. Van Schuyler and Cornelia. On the boat, after everyone checks their rooms, Hercule and Rosalie are talking when they see the Doyles emerge from their cabin.
