Chapters 33-35 Summary

In chapter 33, Tempe and Ryan carefully make their way to Anna Goyette's house. Anna describes her trip from the farm, giving Tempe what she needs to figure out where the farm is. Tempe insists Ryan drive her there and he reluctantly agrees. Ryan insists on speaking to the local cops before approaching the farm but finds the road blocked due to the ice storm. Ryan returns to the farm and makes Tempe wait as he approaches on foot. Ryan is shot and Tempe is hit over the head by an unknown attacker. In chapter 34, Tempe wakes in a dark basement. Tempe discovers Jeannotte's dead body in the basement with her. Tempe crawls to a set of stairs that lead to some sort of trap door in the ceiling.
