Summary

Emmy tried to talk to William during their shift, but he was busy. The other women discussed the wedding plans. After the shift, Captain Davies wanted to speak to Emmy and the other women about their shifts, and this meant that Emmy was not able to talk to William before he went home.

Disappointed about failing to apologize to William, Emmy was nevertheless excited to see Kathleen and tell her about the wedding. After arriving early to work, Emmy sorted through her mail and found a letter praising Mrs. Bird for her advice to Fed Up, the woman who was secretly dating a soldier. This writer, Lilian Banks, was in a similar situation to Fed Up and followed Emmy’s advice to talk to her parents about her boyfriend.
