Chapters 37 - 49 Summary

After leaving the cabin, Myron and Jessica check into a room at the Hilton in Mawah, New Jersey in Chapter 37. Win arrives after tracing Myron's credit card and informs them that he has interesting news.

Win tells Myron and Jessica that Fred Nickler (alias Nick Fredericks) was at one time involved in child pornography. Rather than arrest and incarcerate Nickler, however, the authorities convinced Nickler to incriminate someone further up the proverbial food chain. The deal with Fred Nickler was negotiated by Paul Duncan.

In Chapter 38, Myron and Win catch up with Junior (Horty) Horton as he completes a drug deal. Myron asks Horton about his involvement with Kathy Culver. Horton refuses to cooperate and Win breaks his right tibia. Horton finally tells Myron that he and Kathy met at a party at Reston University and that the two had had...
