Camelia and her father talk about her mother and Aunt Alexia. Camelia's grandmother blamed Alexia's birth for her husband's leaving, and treated Camelia's mother better than Alexia. Camelia and her father make plans for dinner at Taco Bell.

That morning at school, everyone is talking. Debbie is in a coma after a hit-and-run. Everyone believes it to be Ben and his motorcycle. The attack happened right after Camelia was dropped off by Ben. Kimmie, Wes, and Matt are now very worried about Camelia.
