43 Summary

Camelia's parents arrived home late because they went to visit Aunt Alexia in the hospital, but Camelia's mother just couldn't bring herself to go in.

Camelia can't sleep that night, and she looks for her stuffed polar bear, but cannot find it. Camelia calls Ben, and Ben drives over to pick her up.

43 Analysis

Just as Camelia cannot sleep, she cannot go without speaking to Ben. Ben concedes to coming over and picking her up. Not only is Camelia not telling her parents about what is going on, but she is also sneaking out in the middle of the night.
