Ben smiles at Camelia in school on Monday, completely taking her by surprise. He even bumps into her, and Camelia hopes it wasn't on accident. Ben shows up for science late. The rumor is that Ben is allowed to be late for all classes for one reason or another, perhaps to protect him from other students. Camelia studies Ben, finding him more and more attractive. When class ends, Ben says he'll see Camelia later. He then goes up to speak to Mr. Swenson.

Camelia waits in the hall for Ben, and Kimmie and Wes show up. As they start to walk away, Camelia glances back to see Ben standing in the doorway, looking at her. Camelia says she's going back, but Wes and Kimmie remind her about Ben's supposed crime, but Camelia will hear none of it. When she turns to head back to talk...
