Good Versus Evil

There are several different plots in the story that show a fight between good and evil. The most obvious fight of good versus evil is seen between that of Rachel and Trent. Rachel isn't an absolute saint. It is quickly seen that she has faults and that she is flawed in many respects. Despite this, she has morals and standards that she believes to be true and right. It is these morals and standards that help to drive Rachel and her decisions. Trent seems to have no conscious at all. Anything that Trent wants or feels like doing, he seems to act on with little or no regard of anything or anyone that might get hurt. Rachel is kept as his prisoner for some time.
