Chapter Ten Summary
Sookie realizes that the amount of vampire blood that she has ingested has changed her, making her stronger and more attractive. The thought of turning into a vampire by drinking their blood worries her. People at work are noticing the changes in her as well, and Sam seems particularly attracted to her. A moment between the two of them is interrupted by another waitress and Sookie is grateful.
Sookie spends the day listening into the thoughts of others. She does not learn anything new but is distressed to find out that her brother is most likely going to be arrested for the murders of Maudette and Dawn. Distressed, Sookie goes home and changes her clothes and returns to the bar to see if she can discover anything else.
