Chapter Seven Summary
One night Bill and Sookie lie in bed talking about their lives, and Sookie reveals that her uncle had molested her when she was a young girl. Bill questions her, and Sookie tells the truth. As a young girl she had told her parents, but they had not believed her, so it fell to Sookie to protect herself by avoiding being alone with the man. After her parents died, Sookie told her grandmother as well and was relieved when Gran banned her brother from her home, refusing to see him again.
The next day, Sookie is greeted by her brother, who while not pleased that Sookie is dating a vampire, surprises her by not being judgmental about it. Another shock is revealed when Jason tells Sookie that Uncle Bartlett had been killed the night before by a burglar that had thrown...
