Chapter Two Summary

The following morning, Gran receives a phone call from a friend telling her about a tornado that touched down at Four Tracks Corner, destroying the Rattray's trailer and killing the couple. Sookie knows no tornado is responsible for their death. Gran is thrilled that Bill will be coming over to meet with her and discuss speaking to her group. Adele plans to spend the next day cleaning the house.

On the way to work Sookie stops by the site of the Rattray's home and is stunned by the amount of destruction. Mike Spencer the town Medical Examiner is at the scene, as well as the sheriff, Bud Dearborn. Dearborn asks Sookie about the fight she had with the Rattray's earlier in the week, and Sookie is a bit defensive. She explains that the couple was draining a vampire, and she had...
