Summary
In Chapter 9, in an entry from her personal journal, Parnell emphasizes her belief that the dead should be honored, even by those working to determine how they died.
Cohen told Parnell that the bloody clothing had been found in Stern’s vehicle after someone reported they had seen a woman trying to put a girl who matched Lucy’s description in that car. Tests were being run to determine if the blood belonged to a human or an animal. Cohen requested that Parnell observe when he and Len Bandoni, his partner, interviewed Stern.
On the way to the police department, Parnell called Tom O’Hara, a newspaper journalist, and asked him if Ben had contacted him about the MoMA. O’Hara said that Ben had, that he had suggested there was something illegal going on but never got back to him...
