Dismas Hardy
A thirty-eight year old bartender, Dismas Hardy has withdrawn from the day to day rat race that most people accept as life. Divorced, a former police officer and attorney, Dismas had decided caring was too painful after the death of his infant son, Michael. Working at The Little Shamrock for his friend, Moses McGuire, and tossing darts was enough to keep Hardy if not happy, at least content. The death of McGuire's brother in law, Eddie Cochran, changed things for Hardy. Eddie and his young wife Frannie had plans and dreams that would no longer be realized. They had believed that life would treat them well if they lived it well and did the right thing, instead, they had been destroyed by it.
