Karou

Formerly Madrigal. Karou is a blue-haired human girl who was once a chimaera, a Kirin known as Madrigal. Madrigal was a resurrectionist who fell in love with a seraph soldier named Akiva, and together the two made plans to end the war between their kind. They were discovered by The White Wolf, who desired Madrigal and killed her in front of Akiva as punishment. In her human life, Karou never felt as though she belonged, and she eventually fell back in with Thiago, who needed her talents as a resurrectionist to continue his war. She is fiercely loyal to her ideals and just as loyal to her friends, and though she hates Akiva at the beginning of the story for his role in the destruction of her people, she comes to understand why he did what he did.
