Chapters 73-78 Summary
In chapter seventy-three, Karou has stabbed Thiago in the throat. She is greatly weakened from the fight, but manages to remain standing. She can hardly believe she has killed her race's hero and leader, and can't bring herself to think clearly. She suddenly hears wings nearby.
Meanwhile, Jael explains to Akiva that the seraphim will be worshipped when they enter the human world. He will use guns and advanced weapons to fight the war against the Stelians and conquer them as well as the chimaera. He brought Akiva in front of Joram knowing that Akiva would kill the emperor. Akive also learns that Jael was scarred on his face by his own mother, who is the same woman Festival that the Stelians are demanding be returned to them.
